Compact coagulometers for turbodensitometric reading
Updated Wiener lab. Col1, Col2, and Col4 operate according to the opto-mechanical measuring principle. A white light beam passes through the cuvette, containing the plasma to be assayed, onto a photodetector. Any change in the intensity of transmitted light is turned into an electric signal.
The device analyzes the change in the strength of the electric signal and determines the time period between adding the reagent and clot formation. Then, it converts those values into the appropriate units (%, ratio, INR, mg/dl, g/l). When the reagent is added, the lamp intensity automatically adjusts depending on the turbidity of the plasma sample and the reagent.
A steel bar is located inside the cuvette. During the measuring process, the bar is shaken magnetically, providing homogeneity of the reagent-plasma medium. At the same time, the circular flow (generated by the rotation of the mixer) ensures the measuring of even the smallest clot.
Together with the reaction, the clot formation begins. This causes a greater turbidity and a gradual immobilization of the shaking bar due to the formation of the fibrin mesh. Once the process is over, the bar stops, the instrument performs the measuring, and reports the value.
The Col1, Col2 and Col4 V2 instruments are simple, cost-efficient and dependable due to having very few moving parts.

- Semi-automatic coagulometers with double wavelength technology, for fast and precise coagulometric, chromogenic and turbidimetric tests
The new generation of CoL Series v2.0 coagulometers has double wavelength technology, which allows them to make complete diagnoses of hemostasis tests, making coagulometric, chromogenic and turbidimetric test.
Compact in size, easy to operate, the CoL Series v2.0 are the ideal partners for small coagulation labs that need standardize their results and for those of medium size with slightly higher demand.
These instruments are the result of the evolution of the pre-existing turbodensitometric measurement principle. In this new generation, it combines a high resolution photometer, two LEDs on each channel (405 and 750nm), with mechanical agitation of the mixture (reagent-sample). This guarantees an accurate and reliable determination of the results of the entire spectrum of hemostasis tests.
